DAY 1

What do you see/feel/ wonder about? Prepared at schools

The activity gave us a chance to practice public speaking, which was carried out on the stage and in front of all participants of the Erasmus programme. It made us step out of our comfort zones and speak about our thoughts and about our feelings. It was a great chance to hear the perspectives of other people and practice our speaking skills.

Day 2.jpg

The Murals Walk taught us how to conduct a guided trip, we were able to show students from other countries the beautiful culture of our city. Many of the murals we’ve chosen for the trail were historical and with a deeper meaning we were interested to discuss. We also learned how to intrigue people with speech and how to plan this kind of event. Apart from that, we gained knowledge about the city and many artists who have contributed to its creative aspects.

Creative writing in broader sense

The workshop was attended by many students, which made it a good opportunity for us to communicate and get to know each other better. Some of us presented their poems, songs, drawings which helped us to make contact within our groups and pass on our experiences. This bonding time was very influential in further development of student’s relationships throughout the visit.

DAY 2

Ukrainian cuisine – cooking workshop at Kids’ Kitchen with lunch.

Cooking workshop was a great opportunity to learn new recipes and try the Ukrainian cuisine that I personally have never tried before. It was led by a woman from Ukraine who is currently living in Poland. Together we have cooked Ukrainian beat soup and baked a cake. We have all cooperated and had a lot of fun together, while learning basics of Ukrainian cuisine. City walk – Murals Trail and our murals projects.

DAY 3

Helping Refugees (before, all teams prepare small backpacks with sandwiches (e.g. Seven Days), some sweets, beverages (juice in plastic bottle or box) coloring book, pencils, teddy bear.

The entire group was organized enough to meet at the same spot to deliver the goods to refuges. For safety reasons not everyone was about to enter the center, however we all were very happy to help. We had little backpacks for kids to be able to carry what’s inside. We had lots of juices and even books in which they could color they favorite animated characters.

Day 3.jpg

Creativity and drama led by Matt Siegal and Lana Sushko.

During the "Creativity and Drama" workshop, the participants learned how to better express themselves, how to properly use their body language to achieve understanding during the conversation, and most importantly, had a chance to bond with each other. We aimed to show them that the ability to use and recognize simple acting skills can have a major impact on their everyday life. Having the ability to recognize simple manipulation techniques should be considered even more important in times of fake news and misinformation.

Workshop for teachers led by Xavier Boque- helpful app

The main goal of the workshop was to give the participants a 21st century approach to teaching, more focused on supporting the individual needs of the students and providing supervised self-learning material instead of a more traditional "whiteboard and marker" approach. In order to make this possible, a series of open source, free-to-use, multi-platform, interdisciplinary tools were showcased and commented upon.

DAY 4

City walk in Cracow with students.

Interactive exhibition - Underground Marketplace.

Sightseeing in Cracow and the former Jewish Quarter.

The aim of the activity was to show both teachers and students from the Erasmus+ project as much of Polish culture as possible. During the city walk participants were able to see some of the most important landmarks in the city of Krakow such as the Main Square and St. Mary's Basilica. At the same time Polish students were sharing Cracovian legends with exchange students which enabled them to better understand the goal of the tour. The group then visited the interactive exhibition located below The Cloth Hall and learned more about history of the city as well as the whole country.
