Project meeting in Lithuania

7th February, Monday. The 1st day of the project meeting. Glad to meet our friends from the Czech Republic, Poland, Bulgaria and Slovenia. we played the "Get to know each other better" game, showed our friends around the school, watched the film about Lithuania and then played Kahoot game. In the afternoon, students had Ted Talks on "Media and me".

8th February, Tuesday. 2nd day of the project meeting. In the morning, students had workshop "Media manipulation II" leaded by our project coordinator Radek Dan, and the students presented their ideas on this topic. In the afternoon, the participants played national games and had a national afternoon where they watched a short performance of Lithuanian students, danced together and tasted every country's national food.

9th February, Wednesday. We started our third day of the meeting from a short sightseeing in Anyksciai. In the afternoon, students watched the film "Don't Look Up" and the had a group work and a discussion on the movie. Before the movie, the participants were congratulated by the head of education department of Anyksciai municipality.

10th February, Thursday. On the fourth day of the project meeting students and teachers reflected on their experience with one of the educational methods "Flipped classroom". Then teachers had a workshop "Cognitive distortions and Logical fallacies" leaded by Radek Dan. Also, the future project meetings and activities have been discussed and feedback of the meeting in Lithuania has been done.

11th February, Friday. The last project meeting day was organised in Vilnius. The participants did some sightseeing in the Old town of Vilnius, visited Gediminas castle. It was the most emotional day as participants had to say goodbye till the next meeting. Tears and hugs accompanied the farewell. See you soon in Poland!

Mobility evaluation

 

18 students and 3 teachers shared their opinion about the project activities carried out during the mobility.  The overall rating of the mobility is 4.33 out of 5 which shows that project participants were happy with the way activities were organised. Respondents mentioned that the activities were interesting and hosts were welcoming. Around 90% of project participants think that the Ted Talks on Media and Me were useful because different points of view were presented.The workshop on Media manipulation  was considered beneficial by all students because it was informative and supported with good examples . The media manipulation discussion turned out to be useful for realizing how easily people could fall for media gimmicks.  Around 70% of the students think that it was beneficial to hear how other schools apply the Flipped classroom  method in their schools. The majority  of the project participants expressed their satisfaction with the movie discussion and debate because it proved the various ways people interpret information presented to them.
